Ribera del Duero Appellation
Grape variety: Tempranillo 82%, Garnacha 15% and Albillo 3%.
Soil: Calcareous with high percentages of active limestone.
Location of the vineyards: Manual selection of 17 micro-plots over 70 years old in the surroundings of Aranda de Duero and Zazuar (Burgos) between 900 and 1000 meters above sea level.
Crop Type: Sustainable agriculture.
Average Yield: 3.200 kg/Ha
Alcoholic Fermentation: In concrete tanks with native yeast.
Malolactic Fermentation: In oak barrels.
Aged in used 225-liter Hungarian (35%), French (35%) and new American oak barrels from Canton (30%) for 22 months, followed by 8 months in concrete tanks.
Alcohol: 15º
Production: 11.453 numbered bottles 750 ml.
Tasting notes
Visual Appearance: garnet red color with medium high density with violet edge.
Aroma: Balsamic and mineral, graphite, floral, red and black fruits, spicy and subtle.
Palate: Elegant with character and fine structure. Fresh fruit, floral, tobacco and black licorice. Perfectly balanced tannins that give it length and freshness.
Self life between now and 25 years.
Recommended serving temperature: 17ºC.
