Appellation: Ribera del Duero
Varieties: Tempranillo 85% and Grenache 15%. Average production 1.900 Kg/Ha
Soil: Calcareous and sandy loam.
Location of the vineyard: Aranda de Duero (Burgos) and Gumiel de Mercado, production of 8 micro-plots. Manual selection of vineyards over 70 years old.
Crop type: Organic and sustainable agriculture.
Alcoholic fermentation: in tank with indigenous yeast.
Malolactic fermentation: in barrels for 9 months.
Aged in 225 l, 300 l and 500 l French, Hungarian and American oak barrels, the last 12 months in 500 l barrels.
500 l barrels. Total aging 30 months.
Alcohol %: 14º.
Production: 4,220 numbered bottles (only 500 units for sale per year). 750 ml.
Tasting notes
Visual appearance: Cherry red color with medium depth and violet rim.
Aroma: Floral, spicy, red fruit, cocoa, with great depth and high complexity. Very dynamic all the time in the glass
Palate: Silky, vertical, great length, reminiscent of the land where it was born.
Capacity for aging from now to 50 years.
Recommended serving temperature 18º- 20º.
