Grape variety: Tempranillo 90% and Garnacha 10%.
Soil: Calcareous with high percentages of active limestone.
Location of the vineyards: Manual selection of plots over 70 years old located in the surroundings of Aranda de Duero (Burgos).
Crop Type: Sustainable agriculture.
Average Yield: 3.200 kg/Ha
Alcoholic Fermentation: In concrete tanks with native yeast.
Malolactic Fermentation: In oak barrels during 6 months.
Aged during 28 months in 225l. Hungarian (75%), French (20%) and American (5%) Oak Barrels and afterwards 8 months in concrete tanks.
Alcohol: 14º
Production: 6.600 numbered bottles 750 ml.
Tasting notes
Visual Appearance: garnet red color with medium high density with violet edge.
Aroma: Balsamic, mineral, floral, red fruit, fine spicy and cacao.
Palate: very elegant wine with character and finesse. Velvety and delicate first, followed by an explosion of flavors: floral, fresh red fruit, tobacco and black licorice. Bodied, very delicate and intense. Perfectly balanced sweet tannins that give palatability and length.
Self life between now and fifteen years.
Recommended serving temperature: 18ºC.
